Support retest
BullishPrice that stood more than half a rung above a channel line came down to it for the first time, stepped on it and held — whether after a breakout burst or from riding above, whether the line is confirmed as support is decided here. A long lower wick probing just short of the line counts as a touch

How to read it
After a strong burst carried price far above a support line, this is the first pullback that comes down, touches that line, and holds. Whether the move's buyers defend the line is decided here — a close holding above it 'confirms' the support.
The line is the point. Not any dip, but a landing exactly on a channel rung or trendline that is actually drawn on the chart. SQMATE draws those lines for you and detects the first retest bar — no manual line-drawing or watching required.
A long lower shadow tapping the line, with volume drying up through the pullback, is the textbook combination.

A window SQMATE's detectors actually flagged in past bars. It records a day that worked out — the same shape doesn't always resolve the same way.

No more eyeballing charts
You don't have to flip through charts hunting for shapes. Signal watch pings your browser the moment a condition is met, patterns on your watchlist arrive by email, and the screener lists every symbol that matched today.
SQMATE draws the lines
This signal only exists relative to a line — without knowing where support sits, you can't tell it was retested. SQMATE draws that line for you and detects the touch.
Patterns aren't the whole story
The same shape doesn't always resolve the same way. It's safer to read it together with candles, volume, and market context — news, catalysts, flows.
