Terms of Service
Effective 2026-08-09
SQMATE is an information platform for cycle position and chart patterns. It is not investment advice, and automated collection (crawling or scraping) and redistribution of its data are prohibited.
1. Purpose
These terms set out the conditions for using the information service provided by SQMATE (the "Service"), and the rights and obligations of users and the Service.
2. Nature of the Service — not investment advice
The Service uses public price data together with its own algorithms and AI to present information such as cycle position, support and resistance levels, and similarity to textbook chart patterns.
The screens use plain trading words — buy, sell, take profit — to be understandable. These describe a stance derived from data. The Service is not an investment adviser, discretionary manager or financial investment business, and does not give individualised advice or solicitation tailored to your circumstances. The Service is not registered as an investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission or any U.S. state, nor as a commodity trading advisor with the CFTC, nor under Korean law. All content is impersonal — published identically to every user — and is not tailored to any person's financial situation or objectives. Verdicts, scores, by-horizon stances and pattern matches are observations and calculations over past data; they do not guarantee future returns. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
A pattern score expresses how closely a chart resembles a textbook shape — it is not a probability. Backtest figures are past distributions with known limits, including survivorship bias and the exclusion of fees.
All investment decisions and their outcomes are your own.
3. Effect and amendment
These terms take effect when posted on the Service. We may amend them when necessary and will post the amended terms with an effective date. Changes that disadvantage users will be announced at least 7 days in advance.
If you do not agree to amended terms you may stop using the Service. Continued use after the effective date is treated as acceptance.
4. Provision, change and suspension
The Service is free. Most screens work without an account; some features (such as sharing an analysis) require signing in.
We may change what the Service provides, or suspend part or all of it, for operational or technical reasons. Provision may be delayed or interrupted by data-provider policy changes, maintenance, failures or force majeure.
5. Your obligations — prohibited conduct
You must not:
access the pages or API repeatedly, or collect or copy data, using automated means (crawlers, scrapers, bots, scripts, headless browsers and the like)
extract all or a substantial part of the Service's data, copy, images or charts to build your own database, or redistribute or resell it
reverse engineer, or attempt to reverse engineer, the Service's internal algorithms, conditions or thresholds
burden the servers with excessive requests, or circumvent access limits such as rate limiting
supply the Service's information to third parties for a fee as investment advice or a solicitation
infringe the rights of others or violate the law
We may block access without prior notice when such conduct is identified, and are not liable for resulting loss.
6. Intellectual property
Rights in the screens, copy, charts, algorithms and processed data created by the Service belong to the Service. Rights in the underlying price data belong to the respective data providers.
You may view the screens and share links for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other reproduction, distribution, transmission or derivative work requires our prior written consent.
7. Accuracy of data
Price and company data is collected from external providers and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. The Service does not warrant the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of data.
If you spot an error, tell us at the contact address and we will check and correct it.
8. Limitation of liability
The Service is not liable for the outcome of investment decisions you make using its information, including losses.
As an information service, and absent wilful misconduct or gross negligence, the Service is not liable for damage arising from data delay, error or interruption. For paying users, liability is in any event limited to the fees paid for the preceding one month.
9. Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and keeping it secure. Tell us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.
You may close your account at any time from the settings screen. Closing locks the account immediately, and your data is erased once the period set out in the Privacy Policy (30 days) has passed. Sign in or sign up again with the same email within that period and the account is restored.
10. Free trial and plans
The Service is offered on a free plan and a paid subscription. On the free plan you keep search, charts, the traffic-light verdict and the public track record; daily limits apply to full analysis reports, the number of alerts you can keep, and saved-screen searches. The current value of each limit is shown on the subscription screen.
When you sign up you get a trial period with the same access as a paid subscription, without registering a payment method. Nothing is charged during the trial, and when it ends your account moves to the free plan automatically. A trial never converts into a paid subscription on its own.
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly. The price, currency and next charge date are shown before you pay.
Price lock: the price you start a subscription at stays in effect for as long as that subscription runs without interruption. If the price for new sign-ups later goes up, existing subscribers are not charged the increase. If a subscription is cancelled and the account returns to the free plan, resubscribing uses the price in effect at that time. If we ever have to adjust an existing subscriber's price, we notify them by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and cancelling within that notice period means the new price is never charged.
If you add a payment method during the trial, the remaining trial days are preserved and the first charge happens on the day the trial ends.
11. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds
Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. and its affiliates). The Service never stores card numbers, expiry dates or CVC — only the identifiers issued by the provider and your subscription status and dates.
Subscriptions renew automatically for the period you chose and are charged to the payment method on file. If a charge fails, the provider retries over several days and your access continues meanwhile. If it ultimately fails, the subscription is cancelled and the account moves to the free plan.
You can cancel at any time from the subscription screen. Cancellation takes effect from the next charge; you keep paid features until the period you already paid for ends. A scheduled cancellation can be undone any time before that date.
Refunds (monthly): paid access is digital content that starts immediately on payment. If you request a refund within 7 days of a charge and have not used paid features in that billing period, we refund it in full. Once you have used paid features we do not pro-rate the remainder — instead, cancelling guarantees access until the period ends.
Refunds (yearly): the yearly plan is refunded in full if you ask within 30 days of the first charge, whether or not you used it. This is a voluntary guarantee on top of any statutory right of withdrawal; after 30 days the paragraph above applies. If an account has already been fully refunded for a yearly plan, the 30-day guarantee does not apply again to a later yearly purchase.
If a significant Service outage made the Service unusable for a meaningful period, we refund the corresponding amount or extend your access. Send refund requests to the contact address.
Closing your account cancels any active subscription immediately, so no further charges occur.
Fees are charged in the currency shown (US dollars). Foreign-transaction fees and exchange rates are between you and your card issuer.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, where the Service operator is based, and disputes between the Service and users are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Australia.
